WordPress plugin
The booking engine for Smoobu, added like any other block
With the WordPress plugin from BineBoost you place the booking engine on your pages as a block or shortcode. No code to copy, and the plugin itself is free.
The plugin has been submitted to WordPress.org for review.
What the plugin does for you
- A block for the block editorThree views: the full booking engine, the search bar for your home page and the booking box of a single property with calendar and price.
- A shortcode for everything else
[bineboost]works in the classic editor and in page builders, in Elementor through the Shortcode widget. - Properties from a listYou pick the property by its name instead of typing an ID.
- A search bar with a destinationChoose a WordPress page as your booking page, and the search bar takes guests there with their dates. They stay on your website.
- No code to copyYour BineBoost identifier is entered once in the settings. If it ever changes, you update one field instead of every page.
- Considerate of optimisation pluginsThe script loads only on pages with the booking engine. For WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache, SiteGround Speed Optimizer and other common optimisers, the plugin adds the exclusions they provide for scripts like this itself.
Design, prices and booking rules stay in the BineBoost dashboard as before. Whatever you change there applies to every page at once, without a plugin update.
Set up in three steps
-
Install the plugin
In WordPress, search for “BineBoost” under Plugins, then install and activate it.
-
Enter your BineBoost identifier
Under Settings > BineBoost, enter your identifier and check the connection. You find it in the BineBoost dashboard under Embedding. If you like, choose the page your search bar should lead to right there.
-
Insert the block
In the editor, add the “BineBoost” block and choose the view: full booking engine, search bar or a single property. Save, done. In Elementor and other page builders you use the shortcode
[bineboost].
Rather do it without the plugin? The code from the dashboard still works, and the guide to embedding in WordPress walks you through it.

Frequently asked questions
Does the plugin slow down my website?
Only pages with the booking engine load anything from BineBoost, all other pages stay untouched. There the script loads asynchronously, so your page builds without waiting for it. For common optimisation plugins, the plugin adds the necessary exclusions itself.
Does the booking engine set cookies?
No. The booking engine sets no cookies and stores nothing in your guests’ browsers. When a page loads, the browser fetches it from bineboost.com, which transmits the IP address, browser details and the page address, as with any request. BineBoost evaluates the booking steps pseudonymously. For browsers that send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, page views, searches and booking steps are not counted, only completed bookings in a daily total. Whether you ask for consent for this is your decision for your website. The plugin suggests a text for your privacy policy and leaves your cookie banner as it is.
Does the plugin work on multilingual websites?
Yes. For each block you choose the language of the booking engine, for example English on your English page, from all the languages your account offers. For the search bar, enter the booking page for each language in the BineBoost dashboard under Embedding and leave the booking page field in the plugin empty. Each search bar then leads to the booking page in its own language.
What happens if my subscription runs out?
The booking engine pauses: guests cannot book and see a short, neutral note instead. The plugin shows you on its settings page and in the block editor that the booking engine is paused. Your blocks and settings stay as they are. As soon as your subscription is active again, the booking engine is back straight away, without any change in WordPress.
I already embedded the booking engine with code. Do I have to switch?
No, the code you pasted keeps working. If you switch, replace it page by page with the block. If a page still contains the old code, the block editor points it out.
