BineBoost is built by a host who rents out with Smoobu himself. What comes next is decided by what hosts genuinely miss in day-to-day work, not by a marketing plan.

   Online payment for your guests✓

   Let guests pay the deposit or the full amount by card right at booking, instead of by bank transfer afterwards. The money goes straight to your own account; BineBoost never sits between you and your guest. The biggest item on this list, and the most involved one.

   Splitting groups across several properties✓

   When a family of 8 searched but your apartments each slept 4, the search said “not available”. It now suggests matching combinations of two properties, with one total price and a single booking.

   More languages for your guests✓

   The booking flow spoke German and English until then. Dutch, Italian and French have since been added, depending on your region often the second most important guest language. That makes five.

   Spreading groups across more than two properties✓

   Until then the search built combinations of exactly two units. For larger parties, say two families travelling together or a celebration, three and four now work as well, still with one total price and a single booking.

   WordPress plugin

   Instead of copying code: install the plugin, enter your account key once, place the booking engine or the search bar as a block. Along with a picker for your properties, the right booking page per language, and a widget that does not break when an optimisation plugin starts rewriting scripts.

   Extras and add-ons

   Guests pick what you offer while booking: a cot, a parking space, a bread roll service, late check-out, the sauna. Charged per stay, per night or per person, under your own label, with the total recalculating straight away. So far breakfast is the only one.

   Connecting further property management systems

   BineBoost requires a Smoobu account today. We have looked into which other systems can be connected cleanly; which one comes first is not decided yet. Nothing changes for you, and for hosts on another system it means the same booking engine, whatever they keep their availability in.

   Two-factor sign-in

   An optional second factor via authenticator app for the BineBoost account. That account holds the credentials to the Smoobu account: an extra lock in front of it makes sense, even though the credentials themselves are stored encrypted.

• v1.9.415 October 2026 City tax as a percentage: each row switches from an amount per person and night to a percentage of the accommodation price, based on the price after all discounts without VAT, with fees such as the final cleaning if you like; also by season or from a set date, guests see rate and base; overridable per property like every pricing rule

• v1.8.624 September 2026 Minimum age for children: the booking rules can set from what age children may come along; the guest picker no longer offers younger age groups, requests with younger children are turned down, with 18 only adults can book; offers you create yourself stay exempt
• v1.8.524 September 2026 Keep group bookings within one location: each property can get a location, only properties with the same location are combined, plus “never combine”; guests never see the location names. The suggestion for stays that are too short now also offers the lengths the short-stay surcharge unlocks; the explanations in the dashboard no longer run off the edge on a phone
• v1.8.423 September 2026 Groups across up to four apartments: when no pair fits, the search suggests three apartments, and four when no set of three fits, still with one total price and a single booking; only combinations without a superfluous apartment, as a separate module switched on request. Group bookings paid by bank transfer are locked against double submission; a short-stay surcharge step can now apply to exactly one number of nights
• v1.8.323 September 2026 Card payment in the guest’s language: payment page and return in five languages, and the confirmation shows name and email even when embedded; accounts that never picked languages keep German and English when saving, and the script embed uses the account’s default language; automatic translation no longer resets prices you have just saved; only one booking when a guest returns from payment twice; the note in Smoobu lists every discount; statistics and calendar in the account’s currency, every email in English for English accounts, new Stripe accounts in every EU country as well as Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland and the United Kingdom; prices calculate exactly as before, down to the cent
• v1.8.218 September 2026 Sell single nights without touching the minimum stay in Smoobu: one checkbox on the short-stay surcharge makes exactly those stays bookable that carry a surcharge, and only on your own booking page; the channels still see the minimum stay unchanged. The surcharge can now also carry conditions (only in certain periods, blocked in certain periods, only for one rate); guests can state their estimated arrival time, which goes straight into the booking
• v1.8.116 September 2026 One booking engine per language version of the website: a separate embed code per language and a separate booking page per language for the search widget to lead to; several of your own discounts side by side, adding up and each listed by its own label in the price breakdown; no more “+ Row for other properties” for hosts with a single property
• v1.815 September 2026 You decide which discounts add up: one checkbox per pair of discounts, and unticking one gives the guest only the one worth more to them in euros, not the higher percentage; above the checkboxes a sentence working out how much your own discounts can come to at most; early booking discount can now be tiered (e.g. from 120 days 10 %, from 200 days 15 %); the sample calculation now also says when a tier has not been reached yet; leave it alone and your prices stay exactly as they were
